PUNCHING a man on the head after a pub argument cost Kevin Brown a fine of £400 at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
The 34-year-old had been drinking with his victim in the Castle Hotel in High Street, Coldstream, on the evening of July 23.
Both men started arguing and were asked to leave.
In the High Street they were pushing each other when Brown struck the other man on the head with a punch.
The victim was taken to Borders General Hospital suffering from a broken nose.
In addition to the fine, Brown was ordered to pay a £20 Victim Surcharge.
