SEVEN new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the Borders in the last 24 hours, bringing the region's total to 653 since March.
The latest update from the Scottish Government was published at 2pm today (Friday, October 23).
Across Scotland in the last 24 hours, there have been 1,401 new cases and 18 deaths of people who tested positive in the last 28 days.
Since the pandemic began, there have been 54,016 positive cases across the country.
The total number of deaths nationally is now 2,688.
In the Borders, five people remain in hospital with coronavirus.
