THE Borders recorded 29 new cases of coronavirus over the weekend.
The data was released by the Scottish Government at 2pm today (November 2).
On Friday (October 30), the number of Borders cases since March stood at 699. Now, the total has risen by 29 to 728.
The biggest increase in cases came between Sunday and Monday, with 11 cases recorded.
Nationally, in the last 24 hours, no new deaths have been recorded. However, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said registration offices tend to be closed on Sundays.
In Scotland, there have been 951 new cases in the last 24 hours.
The total number of Scottish cases since March is 66,012.
The number of Borders patients in hospital with COVID-19 remains fewer than five.
