TWO new coronavirus deaths have been reported in the Borders.

According to the National Records of Scotland (NRS), among people who died between October 26 - November 1, there were two in the Borders who had COVID-19 mentioned on their death certificates.

The official data, published by the NRS today (Wednesday, November 4), does not state whether a death has occurred in a hospital, a care home or in a person's home.

Since the pandemic began, there have now been 80 deaths in the Borders.

Deaths were regularly announced between late March and July 6, but none was reported between July 6 and August 24.
