A HEARTBROKEN Peebles family are offering a reward for the safe return of their missing cat.

The Watson family, from Jubilee Park, describe Tirah, a Bengal cross, as a “friendly, nosey cat” who is very petite.

Elaine Watson said: “We miss her so much – she’s part of our family. We’ll do anything to be reunited with her.”

Tirah is known for visiting homes in the neighbourhood and has, on occasion, gone into garages.

But she has now been missing for more than two weeks.

Ms Watson said: “If someone does spot her, I’d ask that they stay with her and call me [on 07736 888 774] and I’ll immediately come and collect her.

“Alternatively, please take her to a vet – she’s registered at Two Rivers in Peebles.”

An undisclosed reward is being offered to the person who locates her.

Ms Watson’s devastated children have been knocking on doors in the hope they will find their much-loved pet.

“It’s breaking our hearts,” said Ms Watson.

She added: “The people of Peebles have been amazing and it really shows the great sense of the community we have here.

"Loads of locals have been out looking for her and we’ve received phone calls asking if she’s been found.”
