SIX new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the Borders in the last 24 hours.

Since the pandemic began there have now been 812 cases of the virus in the region.

The data was released by the Scottish Government at 2pm today (Wednesday, November 11).

Across Scotland in the last 24 hours, 64 new deaths have been recorded among people who tested positive in the last 28 days. This is the highest number of daily deaths since May.

This brings Scotland's total number of COVID-19 deaths to 3,143.

Nationally, there have been 1,261 new cases in the last 24 hours.

The total number of Scottish cases since March is 76,448.

In the Borders, it remains that there are fewer than five patients in hospital with COVID-19.
