THE Borders has recorded 30 cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
The data was released by the Scottish Government at 2pm today (Friday, January 8).
In the Borders there are currently 39 people in hospital with confirmed or suspected coronavirus. The figure is two fewer than yesterday.
Since March 2020, the Borders has had 2,101 cases.
Nationally, in the last 24 hours, there have been 2,309 new cases, producing a total of 146,024 since March.
In Scotland there are currently 1,530 people in hospital with COVID-19.
