THE Borders has recorded 35 cases of coronavirus in 24 hours.
According to Scottish Government figures released today (Friday, January 15), since the COVID-19 pandemic began the Borders has had a total of 2,347 cases.
The number being treated in hospital remains at 41.
And for the fourth consecutive day, five people are in the intensive care unit (ICU).
Nationally, there have been 159,239 cases since March last year and there are currently 1,860 people in hospital across Scotland with coronavirus.
To date there have been 5,227 people in Scotland who have died with coronavirus written on their death certificate.
