THE Borders has recorded 24 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to Scottish Government statistics.
Figures published at 2pm today (Wednesday, January 20) show that the region has now recorded 2,449 cases since March last year.
There are now seven people in the intensive care unit, up from six yesterday.
A total of 1,656 people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, across Scotland.
The national figure now stands at 166,583 since March.
