THE Borders recorded 50 new cases of coronavirus over the weekend, according to Scottish Government statistics.
Figures published at 2pm today (Monday, January 25) show the rise between Friday and today.
The region has now recorded 2,554 cases of COVID-19 since March last year.
There are now 39 people with coronavirus in hospital, with five in the intensive care unit (ICU). On Friday there were seven in the ICU.
A total of 3,254 people tested positive for the virus over the weekend, across Scotland.
The national figure now stands at 172,953 since March.
