A FULL rebuild of Peebles High School looks set to go ahead now that proposals have been approved by councillors.
At a full meeting of Scottish Borders Council today (January 28), councillors backed plans for a total rebuild – forecast to cost £46 million.
Council leader Shona Haslam, a member for Tweeddale East, described the approval of the plans as a “fantastic result for officers and a great result for Tweeddale”.
On the report issued to councillors, Carol Hamilton, SBC’s executive for children and young people, said: “Avoiding disruption is key to what we are doing at the moment.”
