THE Borders recorded 19 new cases of coronavirus over the weekend, according to Scottish Government statistics.
Figures published at 2pm today (Monday, February 8) show the region has now recorded 2,709 cases of COVID-19 since March last year.
There are currently 17 people with coronavirus in hospital, with fewer than five in the intensive care unit (ICU).
A total of 2,407 people have tested positive for the virus since Friday, across Scotland.
