A MOTORCYCLIST is in hospital with serious injuries after he was involved in a crash outside a car auction house. 

The 62-year-old was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment on yesterday evening. His current condition is not known. 

His white Honda CB650 motorcycle was involved in a crash with a grey Ford Kuga in Royston Road next to the British Car Auctions building.

The driver of the Ford Kuga, a 46-year-old man, was uninjured. 

Cops closed the road for around five hours following the crash to allow investigations to be carried out on the site. It reopened at around 9pm that night. 

Now they are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the smash to come forward. 

Sergeant Kenny Malaney of the Glasgow Road Policing Unit said: “Enquiries into the crash are ongoing and I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision, and has not already spoken to police to contact us.

“We are also appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and recording via a dashcam device to please check for any relevant footage which could help our investigation.
