THE Borders recorded two cases of coronavirus over the weekend, new figures show.
The Scottish Government published data at 2pm today (Monday, May 24).
The figures show that the Borders has now recorded 2,909 positive cases of coronavirus since the pandemic began.
Nationally, a total of 232,343 cases have been recorded since March last year.
There remain fewer than five people in hospital in the Borders.
Due to an IT issue, testing and case data for May 24 covers a 26-hour period instead of the usual 24-hour period, according to a Scottish Government spokesperson.
