A BORDERS man who subjected his former partner to abusive telephone calls has been ordered to stay away from the woman for a year.
After being arrested and charged by police, 37-year-old Thomas Ross, of Galashiels, left two voicemail messages on the woman's phone overnight.
He pleaded guilty to charges of engaging in a course of behaviour which was abusive of his ex-partner and failing to comply with an undertaking on March 4.
Ross was placed on supervision for one year as part of a Community Pay Back order as an alternative to a fine and a one year Non-Harassment Order was also imposed.
