A 36-YEAR-OLD man who assaulted his partner in the Borders has been ordered to carry out 70 hours of unpaid work as part of a Community Pay Back Order.
Steven Seaton, who gave an address in Newtongrange, had denied the offence which happened in Galashiels.
But he was found guilty after a trial at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
