THE M8 will close for 14 hours this weekend to allow a new pedestrian and cycle bridge to be put in place.
Works will commence overnight at the Eastbound and Westbound carriageways near the city centre.
These works will start at 9pm and last until 11am on both Saturday and Sunday.
Diversionary routes will be signposted for all motorists.

Sliproads will, however, be maintained to allow access to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary at Junction 15.
The eye-catching new 1000 tonne bridge is part of the £250m regeneration of Sighthill to provide better links to the city centre.
It is planned that the new bridge will be part of a wider active travel network connecting Sighthill, the city centre and neighbouring communities in north Glasgow.
