MOUNTAIN bikes with a combined estimated value of £30,000 have been stolen from a Peeblesshire car park, say police.

Five bikes were taken from the trails car park, Innerleithen, on Sunday (August 8), according to officers.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who was in the car park at around 2.30am.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “If you have heard or seen anything suspicious please contact us on 101 and quote incident number 636 of August 8, 2021.

“Alternatively If you have any information about this, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their anonymous online form at crimestoppers-uk.org"
