VISITORS TO Bowhill House this summer will have the opportunity to view new paintings and photographs from four Scottish Borders based artists that will be displayed in the Courtyard Gallery, (previously the visitor tearoom) which has been transformed into a modern gallery space.

The ‘Summer Exhibition’, will be displayed in a modern gallery space and will feature the works of, Julia Trotter MBE, Frippy Jameson, Walter Dalkeith and Louisa Trotter. The exhibition will run from 9th August to 30th August, 10am-5pm.

The exhibition includes paintings, sculptures and photography. Julia Trotter MBE, paints colourful interior and landscape scenes. Frippy Jameson is a Berwickshire based artist creating sculptures, primarily of horses. Walter Dalkeith is a fine art photographer with a passion for the natural world. Louisa Trotter works with oil paints and captures wonderful landscapes.

Rory Powell, House Manager at Bowhill says “We hope The Courtyard Gallery will be a popular new addition to Bowhill. The art within the House is world renowned and this August, visitors will be able to enjoy works by local artists at the same time as well-known painters like Gainsborough, Canaletto and Reynolds.”

Entry to the Exhibition is included in a Grounds or House ticket to Bowhill. Bowhill House is also open for tours this August. Exclusive House Tours, for up to 6 people are running Friday to Sunday at 12noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm and can be booked on www.bowhillhouse.co.uk
