THE Borders has recorded 30 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the latest figures.
The Scottish Government published updated statistics on cases at 2pm today (September 21).
This brings the total number of cases in the region since the start of the pandemic to 7,145.
However, according to the Scottish Government data, figures from the Borders lab had not been submitted since 1pm on Monday (September 20). The issue is being investigated.
There are currently 21 people in hospital in the region with recently confirmed cases of coronavirus.
Since March last year, Scotland has now 538,819 cases, according to the figures.
