A CHARITY walk and litter pick up by the Galashiels McDonalds staff and their families has raised £407 for the Ronald McDonald Charity House in Edinburgh which helps house families with sick children in Hospital.

The walk started at 11am on Sunday morning and incorporated a round trip of roughly five miles.

Among those taking part were Kyle Hughes (12), James Clark (3) Archie Hamilton (5) Lily-Grace Cessford (5) Lachlan Hughes (6) Mia Watson (10) plus adults Fran Hughes, Becca Sherret, Morgan Turner and Danielle Hamilton.

Water was supplied to keep everyone hydrated and the children were rewarded with a well-deserved McDs on the completion of their task.

The RMCH facility know as Edinburgh House is situated in the Royal Hospital for Sick Children building within the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
