“ANOTHER period of heavy rain” could impact parts of the Borders, according to the Met Office.
The region has been hit by heavy downpours, with Hawick and Peebles among the areas to experience serious flooding.
And now the Met Office has issued a new weather warning of rain, predicted to affect the west of the Borders.

On the yellow alert, a spokesperson for the forecasters said: “Heavy and disruptive rain will spread north across southwest and central Scotland during Saturday morning.”
They added: “10-20mm will fall quite widely across the warning area, much of this falling in only a few hours, and onto already wet or saturated ground.”
The warning – covering Peebles but stopping short of Jedburgh and Melrose – is from 12am to 12pm on Saturday (October 30).
There is a separate Met Office yellow rain alert issued until 3pm today, again covering the west of the Borders.
