THE Borders recorded almost 200 new cases of coronavirus over the weekend, figures show.
According to Scottish Government data released at 2pm today (Monday, November 8) since Friday (November 5) the number of positive cases in the Borders rose by 180 from 9,501 to 9,681.
The number of people in hospital in the Borders with confirmed COVID-19 currently stands at 16 – five fewer than Friday.

Since March 2020 Scotland has recorded 664,654 cases of COVID-19.
And nationally there are currently 803 people in hospital with recently confirmed cases of coronavirus.
