THE Borders has recorded 78 new cases of coronavirus in the last day, latest figures show.
According to Scottish Government data published at 2pm today (November 12), the Borders has now seen 9,963 cases of the virus since the start of the pandemic.
There are 27 people in the hospital in the Borders with confirmed cases of the virus.
An issue with the linkage of testing data to hospital activity data forced NHS Borders to revise its hospital occupancy figures reported between October 29 and 11 November, 2021.
This issue resulted in the number of patients being undercounted.
From October 29-November 11 there were between 32 and 25 people in hospital in the Borders with confirmed cases of coronavirus.
Scotland has now recorded 677,408 cases of the virus since March last year, according to the latest data.
