THE Borders recorded almost 200 new cases of coronavirus over the weekend, figures show, taking the region's total since the start of the pandemic to more than 10,000.
According to Scottish Government data released at 2pm today (Monday, November 15) since Friday (November 12) the number of positive cases in the Borders rose by 181 from 9,963 to 10,144.
The number of people in hospital in the Borders with confirmed COVID-19 currently stands at 24 – three fewer than Friday.

Since March 2020 Scotland has recorded 685,815 cases of COVID-19.
And nationally there are currently 771 people in hospital with recently confirmed cases of coronavirus.
