A 59-YEAR-OLD woman found with 25 grammes of cannabis in her Peebles home has been fined £250 at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Elaine Eaton pleaded guilty to the offence which happened at the property in Violet Bank on October 8 last year.
Depute fiscal Joanna Waller said the drugs found had a street value of £525.
Her lawyer said that Eaton suffered chronic pain in her legs and hands and had found cannabis was a way of helping with pain relief.
But Eaton had not used the drug since the drugs raid.
A £20 Victim Surcharge was imposed.
A not guilty plea from her son Floyd Eaton, 32, to being concerned in the supply of cannabis was accepted by the Crown.
