MORE than 170 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the Borders in the last 24 hours, the latest figures show.
The Scottish Government published updated statistics at 2pm today (January 6).
And the data shows that the region has now seen 15,769 cases of COVID-19 since March last year – a rise of 176 since yesterday.
There are 39 people in hospital in the Borders with recently confirmed cases of coronavirus, according to the figures – seven more than yesterday.
Scotland has now surpassed one million cases since the pandemic began – the national total now stands at 1,010,660.
