A CONVICTED paedophile who was found at a Borders hotel breaching the terms of his Sexual Offences Prevention Order has been jailed for 12 months at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Forty-three-year-old Christopher Garrard failed to notify police within three days that he was at the County Hotel in Peebles.
Garrard, who resides in Leicestershire, was jailed for three years in 2017 for trying to groom what he thought was a 13-year-old girl online when it was in fact a female police officer.
He asked her about her underwear and suggested she send intimate pictures of her to him.
Garrard already had previous convictions involving youngsters when he was jailed in 2017.
