A MAP shows which areas of the Borders have seen the most new cases of coronavirus in recent days.

The interactive Public Health Scotland tool also shows the positive case rate per 100,000 of the population.

The map – which splits the Borders into 30 neighbourhoods – is based on figures recorded between January 16-22.

According to the data, Tweeddale West Area has had the most new cases of COVID-19, seeing 32.

Tweeddale West Area (516.6), Kelso South (422.1) and Cheviot East (415.6) all recorded rates of more than 400, placing them in the highest category.

At the other end of the scale, Hawick’s ‘North’ and ‘West End’ areas recorded fewer than three cases during the seven days, putting them in the lowest category for rates.
