EARLSTON RFC is holding its inaugural Girls U14 festival of rugby on Sunday March 27 at The Haugh.

Teams from Kelso, Duns, Gala, Peebles and Edinburgh Harlequins will take part along with Earlston’s recently formed Queen Bee’s team.

The Club are looking forward to seeing the Queen Bee’s take their first outing at their home ground following several weeks of training.

Both Earlston RFC and Melrose RFC along with their Youth Development Officers have been working together to support the Queen Bee’s.

The team is made up from Earlston High School's catchment area and both clubs are committed to supporting girls and grass root rugby in the Borders.

Organisers are hoping it will be a great event and fun for all involved and plan on having more of these events in the future.

The club house will be open from 1030hrs for the sale of hot & cold drinks, bacon roll’s, soup and pies.

The first game will kick off at 11am.
