THE next round of this year’s  Kings of the Sevens tournament takes place at Scremerston in Berwick upon Tweed on Sunday April 17 2022.

The Berwick Sevens are returning this year after a two-year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Twelve teams will take part with the opening game kicking off at 1pm and the final starting at 5.45pm.

The teams have been split into four pools of three.

Pool 1 comprises Hawick, Kelso and Melrose.

Pool 2 comprises of Gala, Selkirk and Edinburgh’s Watsonians.

Pool 3 comprises of hosts Berwick, Earlston and Peebles.

Pool 4 comprises of Jed-Forest, Edinburgh Accies and the Co-optimists

Melrose go into this weekend’s tournament on top of the Kings of the 7s table on 18 points after three rounds, with Jed-Forest second on 13.

Hawick and Gala in third and fourth places, both with eight points.

The next two rounds of the Kings of the Sevens are at Langholm on Saturday, April 23, and Kelso on Saturday, April 30.

Admission: Adults £10 OAP’s £5 Under 18s Free - Strictly no alcohol to be brought in.
