BACKGROUND reports have been ordered into a Walkerburn man who admitted two offences.

Louis Lothian, 28, pleaded guilty to contacting a man by social media and making threats, shouting and swearing and uttering threats of violence to him at a property in Blyth Bridge on January 15.

He also admitted driving while under the influence of drink or drugs.

Sentence was deferred at Selkirk Sheriff Court until next month for the production of a Criminal Justice Social Work Report and a Restriction of Liberty Order assessment.
