JED-FOREST won their third consecutive Sevens yesterday, winning the Kelso tournament at Poynder Park to move 12-points clear at the top of the table.

Gala topped Pool A after beating Musselburgh 26-19 and losing to Melrose 14-12. Musselburgh beat Gala 24-21 in the other game.

Kelso topped Pool B with wins over Watsonians and Hawick 28-7 and 26-5 respectively. Watsonians beat Hawick 43-5 in the other game.

Jed won Pool C beating Currie 31-0 and Selkirk 17-7. Selkirk beat Currie 28-17 in the other game.

Edinburgh Accies won Pool D beating Peebles 38-7 and Samurai 26-7. Samurai beat Peebles 36-14 in the other game.

Gala beat Kelso 19-0 in the first semi-final and Jed-Forest beat Edinburgh Accies 17-7 in the second.

Jed beat Gala 12-5 in the final to take the trophy.

That result leaves Jed on top with 43-points, 12-ahead of second place Melrose.

Jed’s winning squad was Dom Buckley, Finlay Scott, Gregor Young, Gary Munro, Lewis Walker, Rory Marshall, Lewis Young, Robbie Yourston, Elliot Stewart, Nik Stringl, Robbie Shirra-Gibb, Kieran Hayes.

The Earlston Sevens take place at the Haugh today Sunday May 1.
