THE first ever Scottish Borders round of the fun, fast and free to spectate Tour Series cycling event will be held in Galashiels today Wednesday 4 May.
And It promises to be a day of fun for all with a variety of demonstrations and taster sessions of all things cycling from noon.
A stilt walker will be in the town centre and there will be live music from talented young musicians from the MacArts incubator programme in addition to the Galashiels Town band and a DJ.
The Great Gala Bike Off with a stationary bike will take place between 2.30pm and 5pm and older adults get the chance to try out the Galashiels trishaw from 3.45pm.

In addition, there will be an arts workshop for young people, a pump track trial, spin sessions for the over 16s and a cycling workshop for kids.
The main events take place on a fast-paced circuit around the town centre, with the finish at Bank Street gardens.
The first race will start at 5.30pm, followed by the final race at 7.30pm.
