A NEW mobile snack bar could soon be cooking up a storm beside a major road close to West Linton.
A planning application has been submitted to Scottish Borders Council to site a snack bar in the layby west of Kippit Farm on the A702 near Dolphinton.
A snack bar had previously been sited at the layby for a number of years.
The applicant Susan Stewart is seeking permission to trade with ‘The Witch’s Oven’ seven days a week from a trailer, while also pledging that all rubbish will be removed on a daily basis.
She said: “A mobile snack bar has operated from this layby for a number of years and does not cause obstruction.”
