THE new updated version of Doddie’s Diary -The Highs, the Lows and the Laughter from My Fight with MND is now available in paperback.

Looking back on his five-year journey with MND, Doddie’s Diary shares the highs, lows and laughter as he gets the most out of life, now offering insightful new updates in this paperback edition.

Much-loved rugby hero and Borders farmer Doddie Weir was diagnosed with MND in 2016.

In that moment, his life and focus changed, with Doddie eventually becoming a standard-bearer for all those bravely seeking to halt the condition and raising millions for research through the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.

Peeblesshire News:

During these unprecedented times, Doddie has received an OBE, celebrated his 50th birthday, and through his and the fund raising of his devoted followers, helped pledge close to £10 million for MND research and his fellow sufferers – all amid a whirl of golfing challenges, charity cycle rides, book festivals and awards ceremonies.

Doddie continues his entries into the New Year in this updated edition, regaling readers with inspiring tales of how the MND5F thrived despite covid to continue raising money and awareness for MND, and commenting on Six Nations games with his usual humour and down-to-earth positivity.

“I never set out to take the lead,” he said. “It just happened – like MND itself. But we are making a fight of it.”

Doddie’s Diary is available via Amazon or at all leading book shops.
