GALA Fairydean Rovers have signed former Manchester United and Hibs winger Danny Galbraith on a pre-contract.
Galbraith who hails from Galashiels initially played youth football at Hearts before signing for United where he spent three seasons between 2006 and 2009.
In his first season at Old Trafford Galbraith was part of the side that reached the FA Youth Cup final, playing a key role on the left side of midfield, before they lost on penalties to Liverpool.
In the previous two-legged semi-final against Arsenal, he played in front of a record attendance of 38,187 at the Emirates Stadium and set up the winning goal for Danny Welbeck in the return leg at Old Trafford.
His progress was stalled by a series of injuries however and he joined Hibs in the summer of 2009.
He made 52-appearances for Hibs between 2009 and 2013 and is fondly remembered by fans for scoring a last-minute winner against Celtic at Parkhead.
Galbraith also played for Limerick, Gillingham, York City and Edinburgh City before arriving at Gala Fairydean Rovers in 2019.
After two seasons playing for his hometown club, he moved to Bo’ness United but has now decided to come back to Netherdale.
