COMMUNITIES across the Borders celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee at the weekend with parties, parades and fun days organised around the region.
On Friday (June 3) the community in Broughton came together at King George V Park to celebrate Her Majesty's 70 years on the throne.
Residents could enjoy their own picnics in the park as well as facepainting, a bar provided by Broughton Brewery, jubilee cakes and ice creams.

The sun shone brightly for the jubilee celebrations at Hallmanor House for the residents of Manor, Lyne and Stobo.
The large gathering enjoyed an afternoon together with music and great company.
And on Saturday Peebles received a visit from the Queen.

Not Elizabeth, but this year's Beltane Queen Elena Chrystie.
Elena, 12, planted two jubilee trees in the town on Saturday afternoon, one in Peebles Tesco's community garden and another at Dovecot Court care home, where she was the special guest.
The planting at Dovecot Court was organised by resident Bert Ferguson to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Elena said: "[I felt] honoured that they thought of me to do it.
"It’s quite special to do this on the 70th jubilee.
"I’m glad I didn’t have to dig the big hole though.
"They invited me back anytime to watch the tree grow.
"I felt very welcomed at dovecot and it was really nice to see all the residents celebrating together for the queens jubilee and it was a lovely afternoon."

At the planting arranged by Peebles Tesco, Elena was joined by members of the Rainbows, Brownies, and Guides.
She said: "The planting of the tree at the community garden was organised by Pauline from Tesco and my guide leader Susan.
"It was nice to do it with the rainbows brownies and guides there and Margot the Crowning Lady.
"A nice memory to have.
"Then we had a lovely buffet lunch and played games and did crafts in the sunshine."
