PEEBLES Sevens are set to return to the town next weekend.

And there will be fun for all the family down at the Gytes.

Visitors are expected to flock to the town for the sporting celebration.

The event will also help boost local businesses, which have all been hard-hit by the coronavirus pandemic.

The draw for the tournament was recently made and there are some mouth-watering ties lined up in the early rounds.

The hosts have been drawn in the same pool as neighbours Biggar.

And there will be a few Borders derbies in the tournament which opens this season’s Kings of the Sevens tournament.

The tournament takes place on Saturday, August 6 at the Gytes.

There will also be a players' reunion on Friday, August 5 in a Marquee at the Gytes and a match featuring OAP residents and OAP Exiles.

Kick off is 4.30pm followed by dinner, drinks and speeches.
