A SHOW inspired by a Japanese pottery technique is coming to the Borders later this month.

Worn, choreographed and performed by Errol White and Davina Givan will come to the Eastgate Theatre next week – marking the end of the theatre's summer season.

The performance is inspired by kintsugi, the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold or silver to repair the cracks.

The dance celebrates the cracks and imperfections in life.

A spokesperson said:" In this Instagram age of polished perfection, it asks relevant questions about the acceptance of transience and physical imperfection – doing so in a way that is both dynamic and tender.

"Celebrating those cracks and scar tissue, this emotive dance production explores how the body is affected by time and space, and the experiences, marks and lines that become such important parts of people’s personal histories.

"Worn had its World Premiere at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe and is now embarking on a Scottish tour, with the Eastgate it’s only stop in the Borders."

Worn will be performed live at the Eastgate Theatre, Peebles at 7.30pm on Friday, September 23.

Tickets are £8-14 and can be bought from the theatre box office 01721 725777 or online.
