Strictly Come Dancing will soon be back on our screens with the first episode airing this weekend, Friday September 23.

Following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, this year’s series was postponed for a week so the nation could reflect and mourn her loss.

This year’s show will see Countryfile’s Helen Skelton compete for the sought-after glitter ball trophy.

The Carlisle-born presenter has shared snippets of the experience so far ahead of the show’s first episode, saying she’s made “memories to last a lifetime”.
