BACKGROUND reports have been ordered into a Borders man who admitted a charge of theft by shoplifting.
Thirty-five-year-old David Collins, of Hawick, also pleaded guilty to a charge of attempted housebreaking.
Sentence was deferred at Jedburgh Sheriff Court for the production of a Criminal Justice Social Work Report and a Restriction of Liberty Order assessment.
The case will recall on Monday, October 10.
