AWARD-WINNING author, Dame Hilary Mantel, has died at the age of 70.
Mantel has won the Walter Scott Prize for historical fiction twice.
In 2010 won the prize for her book Wolf Hall, and she won the award again 2021 for The Mirror and the Light.
Both awards were presented to Mantel by the Duke of Buccleuch.
