A 79-YEAR-old man was taken to hospital yesterday (Tuesday September 27) following a crash on the A72 last night.
He was driving a car which was involved in a collision with a lorry around 5.10pm on the Innerleithen Road near Eshiels.
Emergency services attended the scene and the road was closed for over an hour as officers dealt with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police received reports of a two vehicle crash, involving a car and a lorry on the A72 Innerleithen Road at Eshiels around 5.10pm on Tuesday, 27 September, 2022.
“The 79-year-old male driver of the car was taken to Borders General Hospital as a precaution and the road was re-opened around 6.35pm.”
The man's condition at this time is not known.
