EDINBURGH Cat and Dogs Home has agreed to supply free pet food to Innerleithen’s food bank at the Swap and Share Shed by the Co-op.
A meeting of Innerleithen and District Community Council was told on Monday evening that there are increasing numbers of people with pets unable to afford the food.
IDCC members were also told that The Shed is going to provide disused stock from Boots in Galashiels and a series of videos, supported by FoodPunks, will include information on preparing food.
