THE ANTIDOTE to rocketing interest rates, pandemics, war and that new pedestrian crossing by Peebles Post Office is back on October 27 and 28.
The hugely-popular Bright Side of Life 2 charity fundraiser for the Eastgate Theatre is set to return large as life and twice as noisy.
The participating acts have been tuning their pipes, practising their lines and vocalising their scales for a celebration of music, mirth and mockery.
Paul Taylor, from Tweed Theatre, is organising the performances. He said: “This year will be bigger and better with an even crazier crew. From Nomad Beat’s heartwarming primary age choir, through Tim Wilcock’s ode to Boris and Carrie, to Tweed Theatre’s office cleaners’ telephone sex lines, there’s something for everyone who wants a good night and a chance to forget the woes of the day.”
Tickets, held at last year’s prices of £10 and £5, are still available from the Eastgate box office – 01721 725777.
