BORDERERS have been warned to prepare for “very strong and gusty winds” set to hit the region.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather alert covering the period from 6am-11am on Friday (November 11).
The warning is currently in place for almost all of the Borders.
A Met Office spokesperson said: “Southwesterly winds will be very strong at times during Friday morning, particularly over and to the east of high ground, where gusts of 60-65mph are likely at times.”
They added: “Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely.”
