A WARNING for icy conditions has been extended until lunchtime tomorrow.
The yellow warning for ice covers the whole of the Borders and will be in place from 4pm today (Thursday) until 12pm tomorrow (Friday).
The Met Office provided the warning today and warns that there is a risk of injury due to slips and falls and that care must be taken on untreated roads and pavements.
A spokesperson said: "Frequent wintry showers are likely to fall on frozen surfaces in places, leading to the formation of icy patches.
"These showers are likely to fall as snow on high ground, with the potential for several centimetres to accumulate over parts of southern Scotland, Northeast England and the North York Moors."
This warning has a medium likelihood and low impact according to the Met Office's warning impact matrix.
