ROADWORKS planned for a major Borders route have been postponed again due to weather conditions, according to officials.

Road marking improvements on the A68 between St Boswells and the national border had originally been set to take place in November before poor weather halted the project’s progress.

And the conditions have now interrupted the rescheduled works due to go ahead tonight (December 13).

A BEAR Scotland spokesperson said: “Due to recent and ongoing winter weather conditions, these works on the A68 have now been delayed and will be rescheduled in early 2023.”

The works had been set to take place across December 12-14 between 7.30pm and 6am.

It was pencilled in to close the A68 in both directions between Bonjedward and the junction with the A6088 tonight, prior to the postponement.
