A NUMBER of measures have been suggested as ways of reducing traffic speeds on roads entering West Linton.
The ideas included speed limit roundels on the roads, 3-2-1 stripes on limit signs and ‘Pop-up Bobs’.
A recent meeting of West Linton Community Council heard that four pets were believed to have been killed by vehicles on Station Road.
Tweeddale West councillor Drummond Begg, of the Liberal Democrats, said: “Speed limit enforcement only goes so far, it is about changing behaviour.”
WLCC member Doug Veitch added: “There is not even a lollipop person at the school. Chelsea tractor after Chelsea tractors are parked down there by parents.”
